Dear Kevin, Thank you for using our product. Regarding your question, ezManager has a program called Simple Test Program. This program was designed for users to make a quick test of Serial to Ethernet converter. However, you can use this to send/receive the data on RS-232, Ethernet, or both. In this case, to monitor RS-232 data, you need to connect CSE-H25 to your PC via a RS-232-to-USB cable. You can refer to page 32 of the
ezManager User Manual
for more detail. As an alternative, you can capture the RS-232 data by using a Telnet program. The advantages of this way are: - You do not need to connect the CSE-H25 to your PC via a RS-232 cable. - CIE-H25 just captures RS-232 data and send it to the Telnet program on PC (via Ethernet port) For more information, please refer to "6.2 Status Monitoring" (page 38) of
CSE-H25 User Manual
. Please use "sd" command for data capturing. > Kevin Roberts wrote: > ------------------------------------ > I didn'st see the info in the FAQ. We have a number of these we use for our Badger Meter gateways. I can connect fine to the CSE-H25, just wondering if there is a way to see that it sending /receiving data on the rs-232 port using ExManaher
