If we understand it correctly, the working scenario is as follows: Serial device #1 <- Serial (RS485) -> CSE-H55N2 #1 <- Network (UDP) -> CSE-H55N2 #2 <- Serial (RS485) -> Serial device #2 Even if RS-485 works in one direction, it does not guarantee that it will work in the other direction, as electrical noise may disrupt the data. You may follow this guide to reduce noise in the RS-485 connection: https://www.eztcp.com/en/support/view?page=1&cid=417 Additionally, there could be an issue with your serial devices. For further analysis, could you please use ezManager to troubleshoot the issue? When testing data transmission using the CSE-H55N2 units, please connect your CSE-H55N2 units to ezManager, and open the Status window. Then, please take screenshots for us. You can also send us via email at support@eztcp.com This will allow us to see the number of data received/sent via the serial port and network of your CSE-H55N2 units. For more information, please refer to pages 53 and 54 of the ezManager Manual: https://www.eztcp.com/en/download/pds_files/an_ezmanager_en.pdf If possible, please try using the Simple Test to verify the issue on each CSE-H55N2 device. You can connect your CSE-H55N2 to the Simple Test Program via both the serial and network connections. For the serial connection, you may use a USB-RS485 adapter to connect the CSE-H55N2 to your PC. When testing the communication, data will only work in 1 direction - data transmitted by RS-485 connected to A is received correctly by RS-485 on B. However, data transmitted by RS-485 connected to B is not received by A and the RXD light on A never flashes. Since it is RS-485, if it wasn'st connected correctly, neither direction would work (send or receive). Since it is working in one direction, it seems like it should work in the other direction.
