The official firmware of CSE-M53N and CSE-M53G does not support the hostname. However, you are using a customized firmware version of CSE-M53N that supports the hostname. To make the CSE-M53G work with the hostname, you need to use the customized firmware version. However, the customized firmware version for CSE-M53G is not available right now. We are going to make it. It is expected to be available within 10 working days from now. Please email us directly at support@eztcp.com. We will send you the customized firmware for CSE-M53G when it becomes available. Thank you Best regards, > Azzio wrote: > ------------------------------------ > Hello, I try to configure and use hostnames on CSE-M53G (with "CSE-M53G / 2.2 Rev.A (M53G_R22A.BIN) / B21" firmware). Here is the config on EZ manager (01.png). When I ping the hostname, it doesn't work : the hostname is not recognized whereas when I ping the IP address, it works : we get an answer from the device. Previously, we use to work with the CSE-M53N with the "2.1 Rev.A (CSE-M53N_R21A_) / B20" firmware and the hostname worked with the same configuration as shown on 01.png. I went further and tried to look at the DHCP requests from the CSE devices. It seems that on the old version (CSE-M53N) the hostname information is given through "Option (12)" while this option is not in the DHCP request of the CSE-M53G. Do you have an idea on how to get the hostname to work ? Thank you Azzio
