No. 1907 Re: Re: Re: Connection Problems CSW-H85N 2023-10-13

Dear Moritz,

Thank you very much for the information.

There may be some possible reasons why the Wi-Fi disconnection issue happened:
1. The Wi-Fi antenna issue
2. Signal interference of the surrounding environment
3. The CSW-H85N being rebooted
4. Incompatibility issue with your laptop Wi-Fi driver
5. Soft AP mode issue

From your description about system LEDs, it seems that CSW-H85N keeps operating without being rebooted.
You may also connect to CSW-H85N via ezManager, and check the Uptime in Status window, to see if the device rebooted when the issue occurred.

If possible, you may try to switch to Infrastructure mode and see if the problem occurs. In case everything works fine, we can rule out the antenna and interference reasons.
You may also try to use other devices than your laptop (e.g., another PC, or smartphone) to connect to the Wi-Fi operated by CSW-H85N and check if the problem happens.

We look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you very much.
Best Regards,

Hello,

thank you for the fast answer.

to your questions:

Does it require Wi-Fi reconnection when you start connecting the laptop to the CSW-H85N?
Yes, when I connect to the Wifi of the CSW-H85N I just have around 10 seconds to change settings etc. and then the connection is lost again.

Does this issue happen sometimes, or frequently?
Yes it happens more or less every time.

For testing, we suggest you clear all the physical obstructions between your CSW-H85N to your laptop, keep the distance short, and see if the issue is still there.

That is the case.

Could you please describe the system LED status when the issue occurs?

The green LINK LED is ON, the yellow STS LED blinks in every second and of course the red PWR LED is also ON.
When I try to connect, for about one second all LEDs are ON (also the TXD and RXD) and then it goes back to the described pattern.

Also, make sure you provide a stable power supply to CSW-H85N.
As I can see we have a stable power supply.

If possible, could you please try to use Infrastructure Mode for the Wi-Fi connection (see page 14, CSW-H85N User Manual), and see if the issue still happens?
This is a bit more difficult for us, but I'll see if we can do that.

regards,
Moritz

Thank you for the inquiry.
If we understand it rightly, the working scenario would be:
Motor <-Serial(RS232)-> CSW-H85N <-Wi-Fi-> ezVSP (installed on your laptop) <-> Motor control software (installed on your laptop)

We would like to confirm that you are having a problem with the Wi-Fi connection from your laptop to your CSW-H85N.

We do not find anything wrong with the settings you sent.

Could you please describe the system LED status when the issue occurs?
You can refer to page 12, CSW-H85N User Manual, for more information about LED indicators:

Thank you for your understanding.

Then we want to connect a Laptop via Wifi and with the help of a virtual port (ezVSP) we want to control the Motor.

Now the problem is that if I want to connect my Laptop to the CSW-H85N I just have a connection for a few seconds then I'sm disconnected and have to reconnect to the wifi.

Is anything wrong with the settings? (see attached)
