Communication mode
Communication mode is a parameter that defines a network communication type in TCP/IP.
There are four types and those are TCP server, TCP client, AT command and UDP mode.
Each of the modes has the below features.
TCP Server |
TCP Server listens to the connection request packets from clients. |
TCP Client |
TCP Client sends connection request packets to the server with value of peer IP and port number. |
AT Command(ATC) |
AT Command mode offers AT emulation like modem control. In this mode, both TCP server and client are available.
Especially, users who had experience of using modem will be easily work with this mode. |
UDP |
UDP mode is different with the above three modes. This protocol is simple and unreliable.
By using this mode, you can make multi-drop network like RS485.
|
- In case of using TCP server, client and UDP, user's device software is not required to be modified.
- In case of using ATC mnode, device software is needed to be modified.
- The communication mode could be configured by management(configuration) tool except for EZL-50, 50A and 50R.
