No.184 It cannot communicate with ezTCP/Wireless products even though the [LINK LED] is ON. 01-06-2007

It should be configured basic environment parameters like WLAN Mode, SSID, Channel and Security protocols to communicate with ezTCP/Wireless products.


WLAN Mode AD-HOC(0) : communicate between wireless LANs without any AP(Access Point).
Infrastructure(1) : communicate between wireless LAN devices or between wireless LAN and the wired LAN(Ethernet) through the AP.
SSID The SSID is used to distinguish one network from another.
It should be set same value of AP(in Infrastructure mode) or Station(in AD-HOC mode).
Channel communication path. if it is set 0, ezTCP select the channel automatically.
Security key value that is used to secure communication

If these basic environment parameters are not configured correctly, the LINK LED will not turn ON.

If the security protocol's Key is not set correctly, ezTCP doesn't work properly even though the LINK LED turns ON.
In this case, do as follow check the AP's KEY values are the same with ezTCP's.
And it is a good way that try to connect ezTCP with AP inactivating all the security options.
