Here are a few things that you need to be aware of when you use two or more Network Interface Cards(NICs).

1. Do not set the same IP address on the NICs.

All IP addresses should be unique on the network.

2. Do not set the same subnet IP address on multiple NICs.

Although the IP addresses are different, the same subnet IP addresses may cause some problems.

3. Do not set two or more gateway IP addresses on a PC.

This case may also cause some problems.

Bad example 1, setting the same IP address

Item	NIC#1	NIC#2
IP address	192.168.0.100	192.168.0.100

Bad example 2, setting the same subnet IP address

Item	NIC#1	NIC#2
IP Address	192.168.0.111	192.168.0.222
Subnet Mask	255.255.255.0	255.255.255.0

Bad example 3, setting two gateway addresses

Item	NIC#1	NIC#2
IP Address	192.168.111.111	192.168.222.222
Subnet Mask	255.255.255.0	255.255.255.0
Gateway	192.168.111.1	192.168.222.1

Good example

IP Address	192.168.111.111	192.168.222.222
