Summary
UDP mode is a UDP communication mode.
After ezTCP makes a UDP datagram with the data which comes from serial port, the ezTCP transmits it to the UDP port which already set up via LAN. And the ezTCP transmits the data which comes from UDP port to serial device.
Operation
In UDP mode, data is transmitted in blocks.
A procedure for dividing data into blocks is as follows:
1. If data of pre-specified bytes [Block(Byte)] comes to the serial port of the ezTCP. The unit of [Block(Byte)] field is byte.
2. If a specified period of time [Interval(10ms)] elapses after first data reception. The unit of [Interval(10ms)] field is 10 millisecond. You can set up the [Block(Byte)] and [Interval(10ms)] by ezConfig program.
Others
If the ezTCP is configured [Peer IP Address] field to broadcast IP address, the ezTCP will be able to substitute RS485 network.
* Refers to the next writing about broadcast.
